3 Styling Tips for the Next Door Petite Woman

The struggles of a petite woman.

We’ve heard that there is nothing more challenging than to prepare young, ‘petite’ women for the mere challenges of their shorter body silhouettes. A petite woman is said to have a short body frame – particularly shorter legs – and different body shapes that might make dressing up a chore rather than a breeze.

To make the next-door petite woman happy, we need to tell her to be confident and supportive of her body figure – and having shorter legs might be the highlight of her entire physique. Many Ethiopian women dresses would look stunning on her. There are different types of body styles – all of which either differ in the curves of the waist or the hips. To help you accentuate your curves and legs, we have mentioned 3 basic styling tips for the modern, petite woman below.

1) Learn About Your Body Shape:

Learning about your body shape is a basic rule to understand the type of dresses you should wear. Your body silhouettes aren’t too complex to understand, which is why a basic knowledge about our body type wouldn’t hurt. It will help you find the right fit from the variety of Ethiopian women dresses.

For most petite body types, flowy or boxy dresses are a big no-no since they don’t do anything to define your body shape and therefore, make you look shorter and broader. V-neck and shape-fit dresses with shortened hemlines would do wonders for your figure, and help you appear confident and taller with a well-defined shape.

2) Say Hello to Heels:

To make your legs appear taller and sleeker, you need to embrace heels with an open heart into your wardrobe – or let’s say, with an open pocket. Heels are the essentials of a healthy petite woman’s shoe diet – and you need to style and sport them accordingly. Choosing comfort before fashion is okay – pretty great if we must say – which is why we would recommend you to say hello to open-toe wedges and broad heeled sandals for casual wear. However, you do need to appreciate that heel looks stunning with Ethiopian women’s dresses.

Try on basic colors such as nudes, blacks, and browns for high heels. Neutral hues not only match your hosiery but also support your skin color and allow your legs to appear homologous and taller.

3) Shoulder Details:

If you’re done having a little chat with your legs and curves, it is time to focus on the upper half of your body with the bust as well. Shoulder details such as sequins, beaded necklines, and laced contours help to draw attention towards the bust of your body and tend to ignore the lower half. Embellishments such as studded collars and/or pendants highlight the neckline, and hence, your neck and bust as well. You may be surprised by how different some Ethiopian women dresses can look with a simple modification.

While simplicity and minimalism might take the cake, most petite women have to struggle to get things started at first. Approaching a tailor who acknowledges their various body shapes might be hard, but once everything’s understood, petite clothing might not appear as a challenge after all.
